International Dance

From a mere 8 members in 1999 to 45 dancers today, International Dance as a CCA has been gaining momentum in terms of skills and exposure. To promote a high level of skill competency, a review is carried out each term where dancers will be regrouped according to their competency level. Responsible dancers and leaders are identified and given opportunities for leadership development.

Competent in modern and contemporary Chinese dance forms, our dancers performed in major school productions such as ‘Beauty & the Beast’ in 2006 and had also collaborated with Chinese Opera and the Military Band in their productions and performances in the last few years. They have also participated in several events such as SHOWCASE! Performing Arts Festival organised by CCAB and in the pre-show segment of Ballet under the Stars organised by the Singapore Dance Theatre.

International Dance hopes that dancers can use their exposure and experience gained from competitions and events, both internally and externally, to create more awareness and appreciation of dance as an art form in the school.
