Welcome Message
A very warm welcome to all new parents joining the Bukit Panjang Government High School Parent Support Group (PSG). We are delighted to have you with us as we journey alongside our teens through their BPian experience.
The PSG is a community for parent engagement, skill enrichment, and mutual support. Through this group, parents can better understand their growing teenagers, connect with one another, and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
We do this through our 3Ts — Time, Talent, and Thoughts — each offering a meaningful way for parents to contribute according to their interests, strengths, and availability.
Time: We volunteer our time to support the school’s programmes and events, contributing where our presence makes a difference.
Talent: We volunteer our expertise, talents, and personal networks. We equip ourselves to relate better to them and lend them the support to harness their fullest potential, nurturing future leaders who think, care and serve the community
Thoughts: We share ideas, provide constructive feedback, and work with the school to strengthen the partnership between home and school.
We invite you to join us, build friendships with fellow parents, experience the camaraderie among parents, and be a part of a supportive community that shares the same hopes and aspirations for our children.

Roles of the PSG
1. Supportive Partner in Education
The Parent Support Group complements the school by aligning with its objectives, supporting and strengthening school programmes that enhance our children’s learning and well-being.

2. Bridge Between Parents and School
The PSG gathers parents’ feedback on school operations, practices and programmes, and shares this feedback with the school. The PSG also helps facilitate communication between the school and parents.
3. Contribution by Parent through the 3 Ts
Time
Parents can volunteer their time to support, organise and facilitate school programmes and events.

My involvement in school affairs has been beneficial to my child's well-being, helping him feel more at ease and settled in his new school. Through the PSG, I have had the opportunity to meet other parents, exchange experiences and share parenting tips on navigating the teenage years. By working closely with the school and fellow PSG members, we help create a supportive community for our children. Fathers often have fewer opportunities for shared experiences with our children. Through PSG events, I have been able to step into my child's school life, experience the school environment and get to know his friends. Joining the BPGHS Parent Support Group has enabled me, as a father, to become more informed and engaged in my son's growth at school.
