Principal's Message
It has been both an honour and a privilege to serve as the 13th Principal of Bukit Panjang Government High School. In 2025, we celebrated our 65th anniversary — a milestone that reflects the dedication and hard work of those who have shaped the school before me. Building on their strong legacy, I continue to be inspired to work alongside our passionate teachers, staff, students, and parents in this next chapter of BPGHS's journey.
This year has also been one of remarkable achievement and celebration. Our students captivated audiences at the University Cultural Centre with the Cultural Extravaganza, a vibrant showcase of Malay and Chinese cultural performances that reflected the richness of our heritage and the talents that flourish within BPGHS. On the sporting front, our volleyball teams demonstrated tremendous grit and teamwork, with both our Boys' and Girls' teams clinching 3rd place in the National School Games— a testament to their resilience and competitive spirit.
"Every BPian a Passionate and Future-Ready Learner, an Inspiring Leader of Good."
I have been deeply inspired by the vibrant culture of excellence that defines our school. Engaging with students, staff, and parents has given me invaluable insights into the aspirations that drive us all. These conversations have sparked new ideas as we reimagine how best to prepare our students for a rapidly changing world. Together, we are embracing innovative approaches to learning that nurture curiosity, adaptability, and critical thinking — skills that will empower our students to thrive in an unpredictable future.
At BPGHS, we believe in cultivating a lifelong love for learning, where students are not only equipped with knowledge but also empowered to innovate, adapt, and make a meaningful impact. As Leaders of Good, our students are grounded in strong values, inspired to champion worthy causes, and take action that contributes to the world around them.
To bring this vision to life, we focus on nurturing Learner-Leaders who think critically, care deeply, and serve selflessly. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students to become confident, independent individuals — encouraging them to exercise their agency, push the boundaries of their thinking, and develop a deep understanding of the world. At the same time, we place great emphasis on self-care and caring for others as we instill a sense of responsibility in our students to be active, compassionate citizens.
Our success is made possible by a dedicated and empowered team of educators who believe in the potential of every BPian. With the support of our School Advisory Committee, Alumni, Parents Support Group, and community partners, we are able to provide the resources, guidance, and encouragement necessary to help each BPian reach their fullest potential.
Together, let us continue to inspire every BPian to embrace their journey
of growth, learning, and leadership. We look forward to seeing the amazing
things they will achieve in the years to come.
