About Us

Bukit Panjang Government High School’s National Police Cadet Corps (BPNPCC) provides cadets with a meaningful journey of learning, leadership and service. Through purposeful training, challenging experiences and opportunities to serve, our cadets develop confidence, resilience, discipline and integrity while learning to take responsibility for themselves and those around them.

Throughout the year, cadets build strong foundations through foot drills, campcraft and team-based activities, developing precision, perseverance and teamwork. These experiences are complemented by programmes that broaden their understanding of policing, the law, civil defence and their role as responsible members of society.

Cadets gain practical insights into policing through experiences such as the Police Procedures Course and visits to Neighbourhood Police Centres, where they learn about the work of police officers and emergency management. Through the Adventure Training Camp at Pulau Ubin, they are challenged to step beyond their comfort zones, building resilience, adaptability and trust in one another. The Unarmed Tactics Course further develops their awareness, discipline and self-defence skills.

Our cadets are also given opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in areas such as Basic Law, Anti-Narcotics Awareness, Civil Defence and Crime Scene Investigation. Through the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA), cadets learn about the consequences of drug abuse and the importance of making responsible choices. The Enhanced Crime Scene Investigation Course at the Home Team Academy allows cadets to apply investigative and crime scene management skills through realistic simulations, including mock-up HDB environments and virtual reality scenarios.

Selected cadets also participate in the .22 Revolver Live Shoot Programme, where they learn the fundamentals of marksmanship, safe handling and immediate action drills. These experiences require focus, self-discipline and a strong commitment to safety and responsibility.

Beyond training, BPNPCC places great emphasis on camaraderie, service and leadership. Through Unit Camp, bonding activities and the school’s National Day Parade, cadets develop a strong sense of belonging and pride in their unit and school. They also have opportunities to represent BPNPCC at Area Games Day, Inter-Unit CSI and Campcraft Competitions, and the National Police Annual Parade (NPAP).

At BPNPCC, we believe that leadership is not simply about taking charge, but about serving others, making responsible choices and having the courage to do what is right. Through their experiences in NPCC, our cadets learn to lead with integrity, care for others and contribute meaningfully to the community.

BPNPCC seeks to nurture confident, resilient and socially responsible young people who are ready to learn, lead and serve. Every cadet's journey is an opportunity to grow, contribute, discover their strengths and create lasting memories with their fellow cadets.
